The Chair: A Love Story
Jamie has disassembled and reassembled the chair many times over the years we moved around, knowing the memories I made while sitting in that chair run deep. Colicky tummies were calmed, prayers were prayed, Christmas presents have been opened while I was rocking in that chair. Now that three of my four children have left the nest, the chair keeps me close to them somehow.
Pickled
The darkness we feel that closes in on us is an attempt to snuff out the treasure we carry, but the darkness actually serves the purpose of reminding us that the glory belongs to God and not us.
A Foreigner
It's now my turn to serve the world around me with that same unchanging love, even if to them I'm mnyamuhanga.

Deeply Personal
In this world of great pain and need, what can be done to bring meaningful change? On the African continent alone, there are hundreds of millions of stories like these; it feels like an impossible situation. I am daily assaulted with feelings of despair when I see hungry children, abused women, and hopelessness in the eyes of the vulnerable.
Are we exempt from doing anything because whatever we do won’t be enough to touch vast swaths of the population?
